Do any of you moms have to travel for your jobs? It's an interesting dance when you have a family - especially when your husband travels often, too. The one that travels is exhausted just as much as the one that taking care of everything and everyone at home!

Well, the first week back to school went off with no hitches. I LOVE the enthusiasm that the new year brings and this year it really seems palpable, particularly with business owners. I hope you all enjoy your families more in 2011 than ever before.

Did anyone hear on the news today that companies are hiring "truancy" officers to "investigate" whether their employees are really sick on sick days? They're going to have to start giving Mental Health days for Moms then!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This working Mom had to go away on a business trip for several days. It helps that my children are older, but they still need someone around to help take care of them. It's also nice to have a supportive husband willing to take a few days off if necessary, albeit vacation days. I had a great trip to the Florida Gulf Coast which I hope to tell you all about soon!

I'm thinking of ordering Doing Dinner, lol! They really are great meals - especially if you're away for the evening and your husband needs something easy. A meal for one runs just $5!!!! Better than McDonalds.
Very rarely do I cook from a recipe any more - unless it's a well-loved family favorite. If you get the knack of using herbs, it seems like you can throw anything in a pan and come out with a family pleaser.

It's hard to find a good chicken salad, and I know there's probably a lot of sodium, but Publix new(ish) chunky chicken salad (in container) is really good.
