Everybody loves their family times!

Despite their long struggles with their son Jett’s illness, and
his tragic death about a year ago, the Travoltas continue to share
their blessings with our community. “Kelly, Ella and I want to
thank all of you for supporting us over the last year,” Travolta
told the crowd. “It’s meant the world to us. We know that we have a
community. We know that we have friends. and we know that we are
loved. We appreciate it. Jett appreciates it. We love you, Ocala.”
Those are the words spoken by John Travolta, as quoted and written
by ocala Star Banner Reporter, David Shlenke, in his article
following the premiere of “old Dogs“ (a Disney picture) at the end
of 2009.
It was the first time Ella Bleu has been at an ocala premier, and
it was the first time Ella, John & kelly have all starred in a
movie together. But, it wasn’t the first time that they’ve shared
their generosity with our community, premiering “Wild hogs” in 2007
harley-style, benefitting several causes including the Marion
Theatre. In 2008 BoLT was screened at the hollywood Regency 16,
bringing more than $50,000 in proceeds to the Boys & Girls Club
of Marion County. “From Paris with Love” brings a continuum of
compassion for Marion County from the Travoltas. on February 4th,
John and wife Kelly will preview John’s new film, a day before its’
national release. alongside Jonathan Rhys Meyer, bald and still
beautiful, Travolta plays an intense u.S. spy trying to prevent an
overseas terror attack. This benefit premiere - $300 tickets - ends
with an exclusive dinner with the Travoltas at Golden ocala for 300
people. although there won’t be any red carpet opps for “From Paris
with Love,” the film’s premiere in ocala promises to raise some
$90,000 for local police, sheriff’s and fire departments, the ocala
Detoxification Project, along with scholarships benefitting CFCC
Fine arts students in honor of Jett Travolta.
