History

Established in 2003
Family Times Magazine started out in the early 1990's and was founded by
Cindy Grimes as a newspaper print informational Moms & Dads magazine. In 2006, Rose Derkay took over the helm and updated the layout and design, and it continues to be a great resource for Marion County Moms!

Meet the Editor and Owner, Rose Derkay
Rose Derkay is a Graduate of the University of Colorado with a BA in
Political Science. She worked several years in radio as a news director. One
location was WBRD Talk Radio in Bradenton, Florida. She has 3 children has
lived all over the country, and loves her Family Times!
